Luis the foal was rescued by SAFE (Saving Abandoned Fly-Grazing Equines - www.safe-horses.org.uk) on Monday 21st August, when he was injured following a horrific accident.

Soon after arrival he was admitted to hospital - where he has shown such strength of character and determination to survive. Unfortunately, five days into tests and rest, a thorough scan has shown he has a pelvis fracture on his right femur. There was no way of knowing before now as his muscles have been full of fluid - the x-ray didn't even reveal the fracture. He's fortunate being small and young, as like children he has a better chance of healing. The vets give him a good prognosis.

We at SAFE want to allow him to rest, recouperate and make a full recovery in our care. We are willing to invest the time, effort and love, if you are able to donate to allow us to do so.
