Please help me to help save The Bennachie Leisure Centre (BLC) in my local village of Insch, Aberdeenshire!

The BLC is a 20 year old community / volunteer run leisure facility where I have lost copious amounts of sweat (and pretty much worked my butt off).

Unfortunately due to falling revenues, rising costs and debt which has accumulated over a long period of time, the BLC is now in financial difficulty.

I am one of the many Insch dwellers who is prepared to fight to ensure that the BLC remains at the heart of the our community now and in the long term.

To do this, we need to raise £20,000.00 in order to clear the accumulated debt and secure the future of the facility.....oh and one more thing, we only have 50 days to do it!!

Once we have cleared that debt, we will have access to funds that will help to bring the place back to life

Many fundraising activities are being organised in an effort to help this effort and I am going to take part. I have signed up to do a 6 hour Spin-a-thon on Saturday 16th September (ouch - I hurt already at the thought!)!

The BLC is currently available for use by all ages, walks of life, shapes and sizes.... and I personally feel that our community would be lost without it.

Please help me to 'Save Bennachie Leisure Centre' and save me from that dreaded disease that is commonly known as........ lazyitis!! :)
