Story

My mum and I met Yusuf Ali thirteen years ago when on holiday in Mombasa. At this stage Ali was at primary school and we met him when we were walking along the beach. He was a very pleasant young boy who had exceptional communication skills and offered to give us a guided tour of his village and the local orphanage. We took him up on the offer and he was such a selfless lad he got all the other children in the village to line up and gave them all sweets and pencils that we had taken out for them and he didn't take anything for himself. At this point my mum and I decided we would sponsor him through his secondary education as without support it is so hard to get jobs out there In Kenya. Ali passed his exams this year and now needs help with funding for another two years to do a two year university course in water engineering. We are not in a position to be able to fund the full amount now but I would dearly like to see Ali get a good job and be able to support his brothers and sisters.
