Story
John Sangster who lived in Colwall, Worcestershire a man with a big heart, a big personality and a big smile was taken too soon in May 2017 just after his 67th birthday.
John was a wonderful partner, father, son, brother and friend who demonstrated that the most important things in life are the people around you. Not material gain, but respect and love for friends, family and loved ones. He didn’t want for much, as long as there was laughter and love from the people he cared about around him.
A modest but very natural artist, craftsman, designer of bespoke kitchens and extensions, just some of the talents of Mr Malvern Hills Furniture Limited.
He was a member of C.L.O.G.S.(Colwall League of Gentlemen) cricket team for 30 years and the Thirsty Knights mountain biking club for the past 15 years. Often described as a ‘legend’, because he was still riding the Malvern Hills, Snowdonia and The Alps at the age of 66!
A man of contrasts, a true gentleman one minute and naughty school boy the next but always laughing. There was and will only ever be one John Sangster.
Jonners showed us all what life was about and so, in his memory, the C.L.O.G.S, Thirsty Knights, family and friends will walk the ridge of the Malvern Hills from Hollybush to North Hill on Sunday 29th October 2017. Our target is to raise at least £2,000 to purchase a Zoll AED Plus fully automatic external defibrillator suitable for adults and children plus training for 8 people to be housed at Colwall Cricket Club, home of the C.L.O.G.S.
