Whitehaven Theatre of Youth is a non profit organisation run by volunteers. Through drama, music and dance it helps children to become confident individuals, form friendships with other, like-minded children and give them good grounding for their future whether it be in performing arts or just to give them the confidence to stand up in front of people to be seen and heard. We have two units that cost us to rent and maintain so we need to fundraise all year round. This is why some of us, including Amy Morton and myself, are doing the Great North Run to help fund this group to keep it going and help the children of West Cumbria.
