Hello dear friends,

my name is Marta Ferencikova and I would like to ask you to help my husband Jan Ferencik, who got diagnosed with liver and pancreatic cancer with no symptoms untill last week 15/08/17. The medical staff did not expect to find such bad results and only 25 patients are diagnosed in YDH (Yeovil District Hospital) each year with this type of a cancer with no symptoms just like Jan.

Jan's big dream is to see his beloved family and mountains in Slovakia and trip to Lourdes in France. He is still very positive person and he is thankfull for each day.

My husband was a furniture restorer and a teacher in an Art School in Slovakia. Back in 2002 an english company invited my husband to come and work for them here in the UK as a wood carver. He creates replicas of 16th century furniture. During our time here in Yeovil he also made beautiful sculptures and art figures for our local churches.

My husband was the only person financially supporting the family as I a registred disable person and I have PIP and our lovely daughter who we adopted 28 years ago has ADHD. Due to my husband's sudden change of health we are left with no financial support and we would like to raise money for a treatment that could help him. This treatment will cost about £15,000 and its only available in Germany and Prague.

We are family with strong Christian values and we believe that with the help from good people and God we will be able to raise enough money for the treatment. Our time together might be limited and we take each day as a gift.

I am opening this JustGiving page in the hope that it will help me raise the needed funds for my husband Jan. We have been maried for 32 beautiful years - for better and worse - and I trust God that he will find a way and lets us enjoy many more.

We have a discharge leter from YDH to prove his medical condition and the stage of his illness together with CT scan reports.
