Story

Meanwood in Bloom

In September last year the Meanwood Valley Partnership committee initiated a project to kick start a Meanwood in Bloom group. Working with Leeds City Council's Arium team the project installed barrier planters at three of the pedestrian crossings in the central business area of Meanwood village. The planters were bought using funds raised by the Partnership at events attended by the local community and beyond. The planters are community assets to enhance the locality for the enjoyment of visitors and residents alike.

Pictured above - barrier trough liners planted at the Arium waiting to be installed in Meanwood.

This Just Giving appeal is to raise money for additional barrier trough planters, plants and compost and to install rainwater butt as part of the Bloom group's sustainable agenda.
