Megan's Starr Foundation was founded in March this year after the devastating death of my beautiful daughter Megan.

She was 14, and she took her own life after being cruelly & relentlessly cyber-bullied.

We as her parents had no idea our darling daughter was a victim of this horrific behavior. She suffered in silence, until she could no longer take any more. She died at the hands of these bullies ~ her innocent life wiped out by words.

Megan's Starr is dedicated to raising awareness of teen suicide & bullying. Amongst other initiatives, we are presently working with one of the largest national anti bullying charities, Kidscape, to offer anti-bullying training for both children and adults. The training will involve ways in which we can make a difference to our children's lives with regards to identification and effective management of bullying situations. We will offer this peer mentor training for parents & teachers, and in addition Anti Bullying Training for children to become Anti Bullying Champions ABC. These children will be trained & armed with the knowledge to help identify instances of bullying within their school environment and have the support to pass this information on to the relevant adult to deal with.

The money raised via this page will make further training possible, and help have these Peer mentors & Anti Bullying Champions in all primary & secondary schools, predominantly in Wales.

We also have Megan's "Be Kind" Benches, that we are putting into schools to help children identify when a child needs a little encouragement and a friend to talk to. This money will help provide more of these benches.
