Story
Dad was so well looked after in the cancer department at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, particularly in his last week. So were we. All of the staff, nurses, doctors, health care assistants, catering assistants, were so kind and compassionate. We couldn't have asked for more. They brought us drinks, food, a mattress to sleep on. They treated Dad with such dignity and respect, and worked as hard as they could to make him comfortable. But the building is tired, and not up to the job anymore. The new cancer centre will have rooms much more suitable for families to stay over and be together at this difficult time. It will improve every patient's journey with cancer, whatever the stage of their disease and treatment.
£100 will buy a virtual row of bricks for the new cancer centre, and will allow the donation in memory of Dad to be acknowledged in the design of the new building.
