February 2025 will mark 40 year's since the trawling vessel the Mhari-L went missing with all five men on board. The families of the missing men are fundraising to install a memorial in dedication to the men, their families and the wider community that were affected by sinking of the Mhari-L.

There will be a small ceremony on the anniversary to commemorate and remember our loved ones lost at sea.

All funding will be used for the purpose of the memorial and ceremony, any extra funding will be donated to the fisherman's mission and Kirkcudbright RNLI lifeboat station.
