Every Monday evening a group of great volunteers support and run a social club for disabled adults at Mossley Football Club. My brother attends and it has provided him with many friends and he looks forward to going.
With little funds they provide hot food, entertainment and free raffles. It's a fantastic night giving the adults a chance to meet new people and have some good old fashioned fun.
To ensure these evenings can carry on being successful I have taken the plunge and signed up for the Mossley 10k on the 16th July.
For anyone who knows me this a massive thing for me as I have had many struggles over my life with mobility due to hip problems. Thanks to surgery I am now able to lead a semi active life. So for my first official run I would like to dedicate it to the Monday Club.
Please support me and the club as much as you are able, I make no promises of running the whole 10k but I will complete.
