Story
I am doing the Great North Run to raise money for the MINE (Mission Initiative Newcastle East) charity who organise many events for children and youth in Byker and Walker running a youth café, detached work, Summer Mission week, and residentials, as well as assisting local churches with their outreach to children and youth. They have a youth trainee programme that allows young people to serve an apprentice-type year in youth work and support many volunteers in youth work.
MINE work in partnership with other youth providers, Scripture Union and local churches to provide enrichment to the lives of the children in the local area. All funding for this project is raised through donations and small grants and we hope you will consider supporting me and them.
One of the visions of MINE is 'To allow the children and young people of Byker and Walker to risk having aspiration, flourish and experience life to the full', please help them to see this happen.
