Story

As many of you may be aware, whilst racing for the Birmingham Brummies in the National League in 2018, I was involved in an accident that left me in hospital for 3 weeks and unable to race again for the remainder of that season.

During this time, I had the support of great friends and family around me, however one of the unsung heroes who greatly assisted my self and my wife was the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund.

The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund (SRBF) play a major role in assisting not only current riders and their families, but also riders who have suffered long term injuries as a result of racing speedway. Without the help and support of the SRBF, many riders, including myself, may well have found themselves in a difficult financial position having been sidelined with no income.

As a token to show my appreciation, I have chosen to do a sponsored cycle on a mountain bike in aid of the SRBF. I will head off from Glasgow Tigers Speedway, onto Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway and then finish up at Berwick Bandits Speedway in time for the home teams clash against the Edinburgh Monarchs. As well as riding between the tracks, each club has kindly agreed I can complete a lap of their track.
