Story
William Day's flat was severely damaged in a fire on Wednesday, April 10, while he was out getting his haircut for his birthday. Unfortunately, his two dogs, Monty, a 20-year-old Jack Russell, and Link, a 9-year-old British bulldog, boxer cross, were in the flat at the time. Mr Day rushed into the flat when he learnt of the fire and tried to save them. Monty was lifeless but he managed to get Link out. Link unfortunately had to be put down at a vets a few hours later as his vital organs had begun to shut down. Both dogs perished on account of smoke poisoning. Mr Day has two children, an 8-year-old daughter and an 19-year-old son, who are devestated they have lost their childhood dogs. As a result of the fire, Mr Day is currently living in temporary accomodation and has lost everything he had in the flat, without home insurance. This page has been set up to help raise the money for Mr Day, his daughter Macey Day and his girlfriend to be able to give Link and Monty a proper burial.
