Story

With winter fast approaching we are hoping to raise money to make the homeless community a bit more comfortable on those freezing cold nights, it’s already getting colder but we all have the luxury of putting the heating on and snuggling up at home on a night time, unfortunately not everyone is that lucky. Having slept out in the cold a couple of years ago when it reached -3 degrees we can honestly say we dont know how they do it night after night, you dont sleep, you have momentary spells are sheer overwhelming tiredness where you drop off for a few seconds, minutes if you’re lucky, you lose feeling in your hands, feet and nose, then theres trying to breathe, a necessity for survival, imagine having something tightly wrapped around your chest so you cant inhale properly, then when it really gets cold imagine trying to breathe whilst being thumped in the chest and back at the same time.

If we can raise these funds we can make sure they go to sleep with a hot meal inside them, we can provide shelter from the elements, we can supply a warm sleeping bag, a mat to keep them off the freezing ground, we can have a constant supply of warm clothes so they dont have to sit in the cold and wet after it throws it down with rain, we can give those things we all take for granted, pocket tissues, cough sweets, lip balm, hand cream etc.

Winter typically lasts through to March, thats a lifetime on the street and not all of them make it, so please, if you can, help us help the homeless this Winter, lets not add to the statistics of another homeless person passing away in a doorway, lets all be heroes and save a life this winter.
