Story

Hello all!

If you're reading this now, I just want to thank you for taking the time to.

My name is Matt, and since the age of 6, I've aspired to become an airline pilot. Financing's always been a struggle, coming from a single-parent family.

I always believed this dream would be remain as that - a dream. However, in 2015, my "natural ability to fly" was noticed by the RAF, with my time in the RAF Air Cadets. I sat the full RAF aptitude testing, passing at just 17, and awarded a flying scholarship towards my PPL.

I knew I had the determination, the skills and ability to succeed...

I applied for a chance to become a pilot with easyJet, after achieving 2 A*s and an A in 6th form , forfeiting university to give it my all. After vigorous testing, I couldn't believe it...

"Dear Matthew,

I am delighted to inform you that you have passed all phases of the assessment process for the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme - Route 1 MPL... "

I had done it. At just 19, I got the chance to work for the UK's largest airline.

It seemed too perfect... it was...
I passed the interview, medical examinations...

...then my finance fell through...

Originally, I was to use my Grandparents' property as equity, but after my Grandmother lost her battle to mesothelioma cancer, and my Grandfather diagnosed with dementia, it can no longer be used...

My course is set at a staggering £109,000.

Due to this, I am to find alternative funding solutions, and if not, the opportunity will fall before me...

I'm not looking to raise it all on here, and I've secured £75,000! But any support anyone can give would mean so much to both myself and my family.

If you've read this far, I can only but thank you for reading my story. That alone, in itself, is incredible and appreciated.

If anyone wishes to help and support, I couldn't thank you enough. Whether 50p or a £1, it would mean the world.

Thank you for your time, and if anyone wishes to get in touch, please do!
