Story

The Royal British Legion Club in Newquay has been part of the local community for over 90 years. Home to the Newquay Branch of the Royal British Legion, the club is not only there for serving and former members of the Armed Forces, it is truly an asset for the whole community.

The Club has now fallen on hard times and is faced with imminent closure. A serious of misfortunes and unexpected bills have left the club struggling with debt and in a few short weeks the lights will go out.

Over the years the club has been the site of incredible memories, weddings, christenings and birthdays as well as the focal point of the town's remembrance events. We simply cant let it close.

We need to pay off the outstanding debt and give the club a much needed makeover. The aim is to re-invigorate the club into a community 'hub', with a thriving social scene and where the space can be used for meetings, socials and get togethers. With a unique location in the heart of the town centre, this will be the re-birth of the club into a facility for community groups, locals and visitors alike.
