I am taking part in the Great North Run in support of Young Carers' Crew, an organisation I volunteer for. They provide young carers with support through a regular group, which offers semi-structured activities, including sports, crafts and life-skills sessions. Young Carers' Crew also run trips, to places chosen by the young carers, and provides emotional support, if that is something the young carers want. All funds raised will go towards the charity's day-to-day running costs including staffing, taxi fares for young carers, craft materials and trips costs. As Young Carers' Crew receive no statutory funding, they are very grateful for any support you can offer.
