Story

Last year I experienced, not only the joy of my first full year of being a Dad but also my biggest challenge coping and dealing with Depression. After seeking professional help and an incredible amount of family support I am pleased to have come through the other side.

From the start of 2017 I have the pleasure to be involved with an amazing group called 'Opening Up Cricket'.

Opening Up Cricket is a not for profit, community interest company based in the North West. The project was set up following the death of Sefton Park CC wicketkeeper Alex Miller by team mates wanting to start conversations about mental health to prevent further instances of suicide. We deliver 'mind and body' sessions to cricket clubs and other groups in the UK.

To assist with the good work, Andrea & I are taking part in 2 Half Marathons over the next 2 months. The first is the Great North Run on Sunday, 10th September and the second is Hell Runner (Described as the toughest Half Marathon in the UK) on Saturday, 14th October.

All donations will be evenly split between 'Opening Up' and our charity partner CALM.
