Parkhill Secondary School is a school for children and young people with Additional Support Needs in the East End of Glasgow. Many of our children and young people come from areas of multiple deprivation, some have never been abroad or experienced another culture.

Last year the school began a partnership with a school in Nuremberg, Germany. Pupils from that school visited Scotland in May - some of them seeing the sea for the very first time. Then in June we visited Germany. The pupils gained a huge amount from the experience, learning about jobs and the hospitality industry in Germany as well as the culture and lives of the people there. It was a life-changing experience for all involved and it was amazing to see the young people grow in confidence and gain new skills.

Several members of the school staff will be running the Great Scottish Run on October 1st to raise money to help support our young people to get to Germany again this year.
