Keir is 14 years old and has duchenne muscular dystrophy. This affects every muscle in his body including his heart. This disease affects mainly boys. Unfortunately this is a life limiting diagnoses with boys often only reaching their late teens early 20s. A medicine has just reached the UK which is compatible for Keir which slows down the muscle deterioration by no way is this a cure and is not coming without a price tag . We are just waiting to see how much this medicine is going to cost.
