I am running the Glasgow 10k to raise money to purchase defibrillation equipment for youth football teams. the money I raise will go directly to the Kieran McDade foundation. This foundation was set up just over a year ago following the premature death of an 13 year old boy whilst training for a local football team Dunbeth FC. They are now distributing defibrillation equipment to as many youth football teams as possible to prevent this type of thing happening again. My son now plays for this local team so its an issue that,s close to my heart as well.
