please help in our fight to save these innocent, animals that are being severely mutilated and abused by people in a particular street in Manchester. The owner of the shelter has even faced verbal and physical abuse when trying to save the animals from the families.

PawPurrs is a small cat rescue shelter in the heart of Manchester run by an angel who has dedicated her life to helping abandoned, injured, homeless and neglected cats. This lady works day and night to ensure every cat that comes into her care is given treatment and rehomed if possible.

It has come to the attention of her shelter, the police, local people and the local council that a certain area of Manchester, Levenshulme has had multiple households breeding cats and kittens for the sole purpose of abuse, neglect, and mutilating them for fun. This includes, using these poor creatures for dog bait in dog fighting, cats have been found beheaded, tied up from their necks almost dead and their faces and bodies half ripped off. One cat in particular had a cable tie around his neck and was almost dead. It was done to ensure he had a torturous and slow death. The cost to remove the cable alone and treat the injury was £117.

some of the images are too graphic to show however you can contact the shelter directly via google or facebook to read more.

The owner is working night and day to try and trap and rescue as many of these cats as possible every single day. Walking the area intil 4am every night she has managed to save 12 cats in total who are all severely hurt and all receiving vet attention.

hopefully with the help of different organisations we can work to ensure that whoever is responsible for these vile acts, is stopped. However at the moment she is fighting this battle alone and needs the support of anyone who can help.

All donations will go direct to the cat shelter, to help with feeding, housing and vet treatment of these cats in this one particular area so it can all eventually stop.

The shelter is also welcoming donations of cat food, cat litter, cat litter trays, any old bedding for the cats and anything else you feel will help this selfless sheter continue their work to stop cruelty to innocent animals.
