Gary received his cancer diagnosis in October 2019. He put up an incredible fight for 15 months but lost the battle late on Christmas Day evening in the Alexandra Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The kindness and support shown to him and the family was overwhelming at times and if people would like to contribute, we would like to arrange for a donation to be made to both Dr Oliver and Partners, Castle Douglas and the Alexandra Unit in DGRI - both of whom were outstanding in their care of Gary.
