The memorial fund in Gary's name is being wound up tonight having raised £4000. This sum will be split evenly between Dr Neil Oliver and Partners, Castle Douglas and the Alexandra Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. This is a phenomenal sum and just goes to show how much Gary was loved, respected and appreciated by so many people. He'll never be forgotten.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to the crowdfunder in Gary’s memory. We are overwhelmed - but not surprised - at the response there has been. Gary was a very special individual to so many people and he touched a lot of lives with his charisma, huge personality and general passion for life and people. His funeral will be on Thurs 7th Jan at Roucan Loch. This will be private (Covid) but there will be a cortège leaving from the house at 2pm and will travel up King St from the junction with Queen St thereafter.
