Sadly many of us know, or will know at some point, families hit by the complete and utter devastation of losing their baby at birth or just before. The shock, numbness and pain of this is unimaginable.

Recently some close friends were hit by this devastation and the pain and confusion that followed was immense. Their strength, courage and resilience has been remarkable. SiMBA is a charity that has helped them along the way so in honour of my friends I am running the Scottish 10km in East Lothian on 24th September 2017 to raise money for this incredible charity.

SiMBA is a unique charity that offers memory boxes which provide focus to families at this confusing time. The box enables families to capture the look, smell, touch and feel of their little loved one. A priceless gift. In addition to memory boxes SiMBA provides essential emotional and psychological support in the following years to help families cope with their loss.
