Story

The ride starts with an early departure from Trafalgar Square on Friday the 8th of September and will see us cover 72 miles down to Newhaven, where we’ll catch the ferry to Dieppe.

Day 2 we’ll follow the Avenue Verte cycle route to Gourney en Bray some 50 miles away.

Day 3, Sunday - we’ll head to Paris! A 78 mile route which follows the river Seine (a longer more scenic route which keeps us off some very busy roads) finishing under the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Why:

Sheffield Hospitals help patients being treated for almost every condition in the area. Everything from patient care, family support and the hospital environment, to providing state-of-the-art specialist medical equipment to research.

Any one of us could need these vital services at any time, so I'd like to help them do their best!

This year I have committed to put myself through a very challenging, yet hopefully fulfilling 3 day bike ride from London to Paris this September. Me, and 25 other colleagues from Bond Bryan Architects have taken on the challenge to raise money for Sheffield Hospitals.

Last year we took on the challenge of cycling Coast to Coast to support Sheffield Children’s Hospital, A 170 mile ride from Morecambe to Bridlington, which helped to bump up the total raised by Bond Bryan Architects in 2016 to £10k!

We're certainly not athletes either, so please dig deep as every penny will spur us on! I’ll be doing this on my mountain bike too, just with a pair of road tyres on there to improve rolling resistance a little bit.

Thank you very much in advance for any donation you feel able to give.
