Story

Preston Lodge High School Pipe Band have been contemplating the year ahead and we're delighted that it's finally beginning to look promising that we will be getting things back to a more normal footing soon.

We have been thinking about the huge numbers of young pipers and drummers who have been making super progress this past year and will be ready to start performing with the band. We bought second hand uniforms and drums a few months ago for the Development Band, however there will also be many new players in the Novice band who will require kit too.

The estimated budget for this is £6000.

To start us moving towards this target Lee and Catriona have signed up to do a virtual walk/run from Land's End to John O'Groats, 874 miles. https://www.endtoend.run/lands-end-to-john-o-groats-virtual-run/ While they have a year to complete this they are aiming to finish it by the End of August. It starts this Monday 1 March.

Our hope is that we get everyone kitted out by September and celebrate the end of the pandemic and new beginnings by getting everyone out on parade one weekend in September/October, marching through our 3 main towns, Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton and Longniddry.

We're looking for you to help us in which ever way you can:

- Sign up to walk the length of the country with us

- Sponsor us

- Organise other fundraising events.

We'll keep you posted about our progress.

Massive thanks!!
