Story
My grandad was diagnosed with Dementia in the early 2000's, it started with things like, him hiding his wallet and forgetting where he put t, but it got worse and toward the end, he didn't know his own family. His illness was very difficult on my family and I, later in his illness he was not himself, he wasn't living, he was merely existing, stuck in a hollow mind. Dementia took all his memories that we shared. Although I am doing this Dementia walk in memory of him , i refuse to let Dementia define his once beautiful, kind and caring personality.
I miss him and hope that by doing this walk, i can help families who are struggling through this strenuous and heart breaking illness.
Please help by sponsoring me on my walk, every penny helps
Thank you.
