Those of you who have met my pony Professor McMoo will know how much he means to me and what a special character he is.

On Sunday 20th August the unthinkable happened and he had an accident while tied to the trailer resulting in a severely lacerated eye lid. The vets were wonderful and immediately sprung into action. They eye lid was sewn back together, in three layers, under general anaesthetic.

Now to my reason for setting up this page. He's 23 years old and as such is insured as a veteran with a very limited policy covering 'accident only'. All good you say but... there's a limit of £1,000. His current bill stands at £1,800 and he's not ready to be discharged yet.

I'm asking that if you could possibly spare any small amount to help towards his hospital stay and to get this special boy home and well as soon as possible.

I've maxed out my credit card and gone begging to the bank but we still have more money to find. So please, if you've ever met, cuddled or ridden McMoo you will know that he's worth every penny and very deserving of your generosity.

I live in hope.
