This project is all about supporting young people who come from difficult and vulnerable backgrounds and who have found themselves in trouble with the law.

We were drawn to this specific project because it’s about second chances, it’s about giving hope, and most importantly it’s about supporting these youths at a stage in their lives where they need it the most. These youths come from extremely challenging and tough backgrounds and to have the bakery is literally saving their lives through baking. You can practically say they are swapping their weapons for bread!

The institute, Club Amigos Santo Angel is doing an incredible job with running the bakery, but it doesn't have the resources to run them often and when they do, it’s at a capacity of 13 people out of the 100 youths that attend. The individuals attending these courses are all showing incredible dedication and positive behavioural change. This is a life changing course that not only teaches them skills to get a job, but also helps them to stay away from a life of crime.

Our aim is to raise enough funds to be able to get the bakery up and running in a stronger capacity, and to gradually become a self-sustainable bakery. This will ensure more of these youngsters get the chance to learn and develop with the courses.

In support of this project, we will be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise as much funds as we can for the bakery. Additionally, as a token of gratitude, for those who donate and feel they would benefit from a coaching session I will be giving a 121 45-min coaching session for free.

If we all chip in as a community, without a doubt we can create life-changing opportunities - a youth we help is a generation we save.

Nos atrajo este proyecto específicamente porque se trata de segundas oportunidades, se trata de dar esperanza y, lo que es más importante, se trata de apoyar a estos jóvenes en una etapa de sus vidas en la que más lo necesitan.

Estos jóvenes provienen de entornos extremadamente desafiantes y duros y tener la panadería al que literalmente les está salvando la vida a través de la repostería. ¡Se puede decir que están cambiando sus armas por pan!

El instituto, Club Amigo Santo Ángel, está haciendo un trabajo increíble con el manejo de la panadería, pero no tiene los recursos para hacerlo con frecuencia y, cuando lo hacen, tiene una capacidad de 13 personas de los 100 jóvenes que asisten. Los jóvenes que asisten a estos cursos muestran una dedicación increíble y un cambio de comportamiento positivo. Este es un curso que cambia la vida, y que no solo les enseña habilidades para conseguir un trabajo, sino que también les ayuda a mantenerse alejados de una vida de delincuencia.

Nuestro objetivo es recaudar fondos suficientes para poder poner en marcha la panadería con una mayor capacidad y gradualmente que se convierta en una panadería auto sostenible. Esto asegurará que más de estos jóvenes tengan la oportunidad de aprender y desarrollarse con los cursos.

En apoyo a este proyecto, escalaremos la montaña Snowden para recaudar fondos para la panadería. Además, como muestra de gratitud, para aquellos que donen y sientan que se beneficiarían de una sesión de coaching, daré una sesión de coaching de 45 minutos de forma gratuita.

Si todos colaboramos como comunidad, sin duda podemos crear oportunidades que cambien la vida: un joven que ayudamos es una generación que salvamos.
