In UK, NHS Staff is our frontline defence protecting us from the severe effects of all medical ailments. One of my friend works as a GP in the A&E Department of Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) who along with his team are working overtime to protect us during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

However, it is very frustrating and concerning that due to shortage of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) they themselves are at grave risk and not adequately protected from the dangers of this virus (https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-51989700)

To ensure that the staff at Royal Berkshire remains safe and can continue guarding the society from this peril, we are trying to procure PPE items (Gloves, Over Shoe Protectors, Protective Hoods etc.). Please use this opportunity to make a tremendous practical difference in the lives of these people on the front-lines when they need it most.

100% of funds raised will go towards:

1. Buying the NHS approved PPE items wherever we can get a hold of them and donating them to Royal Berkshire Hospital. To get some samples and to secure supply, I have already ordered a few items with my own funds.

2. Priority to source the PPE Items from privately-held sources (including eBay) and get them back into the healthcare system

3. When we can't get PPE Items, all remaining funds will be transferred directly to a chosen charity at RBH to help the staff during this crisis: sanitisation supplies, having meals delivered to hospital etc.

4. I hope that we reach the target within a week. Depending on the response, I will move the target upwards to get more PPE stock for RBH staff

5. We may also reach a point where we just cannot source any more items due to shortage. If that happens, I'll update on how the funds are being used to the help the RBH staff
