On Sunday, 1st October, 8 members of staff from Rhayader C in W Primary School will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon, raising money to benefit pupils at the school.

The idea came about following a staff room discussion about some of the truly wonderful resources that are out there to support our children and the frustration we feel about not being able to afford them!

We would like to purchase a variety of resources including ICT equipment for our new library and online resources to support children's social and emotional development - something which we are incredibly committed to.

None of the staff taking part in the event consider themselves to be 'runners' and have been training hard over the last couple of months for the half marathon. Any money that you are able to spare will be gratefully received and will make a huge difference to the pupils at Rhayader Primary School.
