I've raised £7500 to give back to institutions that spend each day caring for children of all ages, their parents & families, in the name of Riaan, our baby boy

Riaan Remembers
My name is Raj, together with my wife Sharan, we welcomed the most amazing little boy, Riaan, into the world on 6 April 2020. Sadly, our baby boy left us on 9 November 2020, aged only 7 months. In just 7 months, Riaan touched so many people’s lives. Whether it be through the strength and determination he showed through taking on various medical conditions or just his infectious cheeky smile… everyone who met him (and even those that didn’t) …. remember him. We are so proud that he chose us to be his mummy and daddy.
Riaan was lucky to have been cared for by an incredibly supportive, dedicated and genuinely caring group of people. Now, in Riaan’s name, we want to give back. We want to give back to institutions that spend every day looking after children of all ages, their parents and families. We want every child and family to receive the same level of care and support that we received.
We have therefore created a group, “Riaan Remembers”, to raise money for such places that require funds to enhance the patient experience and create environments that provide the level of comfort required in, what can sometimes be, quite tough circumstances both for the child and their families. Whether it be helping purchase new equipment, a photo on a wall in a clinic or toys for children to play with in a waiting area…. we want to help.
We would greatly appreciate any donations to this cause. We have created a a social media page to give everyone updates on where the funds have been spent and will be sharing photos of those investments so you can see the direct impact of your donations. Please follow @riaan_remembers
We have had first hand experience of excellent care of our baby boy, so we know how important it is, and we now want to help make our experience, everyone’s experience.
All donations would be greatly received, no matter how big or small. Riaan was born weighing only 4lbs 2 oz, so sometimes it really is the smallest things that make the biggest difference.
