Story

At just 2 years old, our cousin's little girl, Laurel Allen, was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma - a rare and rapidly developing cancer forming in both her eyes.

Two years later, Laurel, now 4, continues to battle the cancer, which despite her unbelievable bravery and the strength and support of her incredible family, has had devastating effect on their lives. After countless operations, hundreds of consultations and dozens of nights spent in hospitals up and down the UK, Laurel's parents were forced to allow surgeons to remove Laurels eyeballs in an effort to stop the cancer from spreading.

Laurel is now completely blind. From a perfectly seeing 2 year old little girl to totally blind in 2 years.

But you can help!

By helping me raise money to buy Laurel a smart braille machine. Learning Braille will massively change Laurels life for the future. It will help her understand her surroundings and aid her communication. Therefore, on the last weekend of September 2017, for your sponsorship, I intend to cycle the 460 miles from the London Eye to the Falkirk Wheel.

It will be the hardest challenge of my life and I hope that you will help me make it worthwhile. Please give whatever you can to this deserved cause… and if you want to join me for some of it then I’m sure I’ll appreciate the company.
