8 years ago after a charity bicycle ride from Gretna Green back to our home town of Dorchester, we jokingly said “next time we should do the circumference of Southern Ireland on step through mopeds” ………. 8 years later here we are !!!

For the past couple of years our team leader Roly Harries and his wife Helen have been raising money for an Australian Charity called Ride Aid. In January they took the money that they had raised to by the raw materials and construct a play area in a Cambodian school that Ride Aid have built funded.

Roly and Helen have now started to raise money for the charity in the UK and have started the Ride Aid UK side of the charity.

So ….. We leave the Blue Vinny, Puddletown in Dorset @ 9am on Saturday 19thAugust head up to Holyhead, travel the circumference of Southern Ireland and back again returning to the Blue Vinny on Sunday 27th August @4pm ish …. All being well

We have a couple of musicians on the ride, Country Music Legend Riff Tilbury, fiddle player Benny Wain and a few special guests will be entertaining our Irish hosts and all proceeds from the hat will be put in to the pot.

All of the money raised will be going to the charity, any costs are all being paid for by the riders.
