I've raised £5000 to Broadcast non-stop for 96 hours with 4 teams of volunteers staying on air for 24 hours each over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Ridge Radio is a not for profit community radio station serving the 22 towns and villages of Tandridge in Surrey and broadcasting to the wider world via the web. We pride ourselves on being a community hub for everyone with local schools bringing students to the studio to take part in their own shows and working with young disabled adults and charities to provide creative opportunities and support wellbeing.
Since the COVID-19 crisis, many of our volunteers have been recording shows from home to keep the community company, some of which are extremely lonely and count on our presenters to put smiles on faces and keep them informed of up-to-date local news.
Sadly, our income has significantly reduced since the outbreak despite our priority outgoings remaining the same and we've therefore joined forces with the Tandridge Together Community Fund, who have also been severely impacted by a reduction in funds to bring you a non-stop 96 hour broadcast over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
4 teams of our presenters will stay on air for 24 hours each between Friday 28th and Monday 31st August to help raise funds for both Ridge Radio and The Tandridge Together Community Fund which invites local organisations, operating in the Tandridge district, to apply for small grants of up to £2,000 that help fund initiatives which directly benefit residents. In January 2020, the fund awarded £30,000 in grants including the YMCA East Surrey, Young Epilepsy, Oxted Young Persons Theatre, Caterham Baby Café, Tatsfield Horticultural Society and the East Surrey Carers Support Association.
We would be so grateful for your support and promise that anyone who donates will get a shout out and a song played on the radio over the course of the Bank Holiday Weekend (please remember to mention your favourite song in the comments, along with anyone you would like to dedicate the song to)
