My name's Rita and I'm a Portuguese volleyball player. I have been playing volleyball since I was 10.

Volleyball has been the one constant in my life. When I moved to England, it really helped me to develop as a player and within a couple of months I was selected to play for England Central at the UK School Games. This felt like a huge achievement and since then I have pursued the dream to be playing on the top leagues in the country!

This year I have finally been given the chance by getting a place in the Super 8s league! The Super 8s are formed of the top teams in the country. You can find out more about them here: http://www.volleyballengland.org/competitions/national_volleyball_league/super_8s

This is where this page comes in. In order to take advantage of this opportunity I need to attend the pre-season 7-day training so that I can train and be ready for the start of the season.

This year's pre-season 7-day training will be in Cyprus! I will have to cover the costs of food, accomodation, flights, transfers and minibus. At the moment, I am not in a position where I can afford this trip and so I am asking for your help to allow me to pursue my dreams.
