Friends, family, colleagues, comrades! Rob needs to raise £450 by 30 September to take part in a solidarity trip to Palestine.

I was chosen by the NUT (National Union of Teachers) to take part in their annual delegation to Palestine in February. This is part of the union's ongoing solidarity work with the teachers and school children of Palestine and will look at the conditions in which Palestinian educators must work in.

As an educator and activist in Newham east London, I'm incredibly excited to be given the opportunity to take part in this trip. I would like to use it to find out more first hand about the situation on the ground and share those experiences far and wide.

To this extent I'll be organising a few events on my return where I'll share my experiences and look at how we can increase our solidarity efforts. Details of these to be published at a later date.
