Help Us End Malnutrition in Europe
On the 12th of August 2017, 10 people from Long Crendon Church visited Pastor Iulian in Romania to help run summer activities for local children. We didn't know what to expect but it quickly became abundantly clear that the community was suffering in many ways.
Most buildings are basic concrete blocks which are badly damaged with no windows. In the winter, temperatures reach -25 degrees with no insulation for the families living there, the conditions are unimaginable. Many children are orphaned and Lulian looks after as many people as possible to provide food and shelter in his own home.

Lulian's sister has a small holding which she uses to grow crops to feed the people who have very little. She provides this food free of charge and as a Doctor, gives free medical care to the people who cannot afford it themselves. Included in this, she pays for the prescriptions and equipment needed to help the people in poverty.

It's hard to believe that this is a country in the EU and people are living in mud huts in shanty towns. One child in particular has a haemoglobin level of 4 so if he contracts anything such as a common cold, it is likely that he will die.
So please help us to raise the funds to finish purchasing the small holding. By completing the payment for the land, work can continue in growing more crops for the community. Reducing the worries of losing the hard work which has already been done to improve the lives of the forgotten people of Romania.
