Story
This October, I will be flying out with a team from the 7th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland to support 8 wounded, ill and injured soldiers complete the 42nd Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC. I will also be running the marathon with the team on the 22nd October for our chosen charities, The Allied Forces Foundation (AFF) and Erskine.
The Allied Forces Foundation is a joint British-American foundation whose mission is to raise funds for allied comrades wounded in recent conflicts and to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by injured soldiers and their families.
Erskine is a charity which aims to care for service men and women who had been injured in active service. They provide unrivalled nursing, residential, respite and dementia care in their four homes throughout Scotland for UK veterans.
I am looking to raise £1000 for these charities and any money that can be donated will be sure to go to two excellent causes. My aim is to run a sub 3 hour marathon, which if I complete I will make a personal contribution of £250.
For more information on either of the charities please visit their websites to see the amazing work they do:

Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go a long way. Please donate as generously as possible.
