The charity I will be doing it all for is Foundation Tamar (FNT) which was founded in 2015 is a nationwide NGO where our core aim is to support and empower women survivors of rape and sexual violence through effective responses - expressive art and story-telling which are both proven to be healing tools for many. Our main objective it to take these women from being victims to survivors who have chosen to give life a go again and to thrive not just survive. We also work and partner with a number of organisations who provide a range of direct services to the rape survivors including counselling, confidence-coching, spiritual support, helplines and advocacy for the women and girls.Most of our work is done in the U.K and the Democratic Republic of Congo but over the past two years since launching FNT we have worked overseas with survivors in China, Belgium and France. We also support women via the internet, by providing a safe and loving platform for them to share their story’s to the world.

By 2020 we hope to have empowered and encouraged 10,000 women to use story-telling as a form of healing. We also aim to become a registered charity by December 2017 so that we can have access to more resources in order for our work to be more effective in the lives of survivors of rape around the world.
