Story
Hi everyone,
I'm a local independent Usborne organiser and recently, I have been doing a bit of fundraising.
The past week, I have donated over £400 worth of books to a preschool and a primary school.
I've also raised enough money (with help from a few other businesses), to buy 14 magic painting books for a local care home for over 60 year olds with learning disabilities.
Since then, I've been thinking about who else I could help.
So, I've teamed up with Jo Scott at Royston food bank.
I am now raising funds to purchase some books for those that are struggling to buy resources for homeschooling.
Together, I'm hoping to get to £800.
Once we've raised this amount, I will then add 60% on top, giving us a total of £1280 to spend!
I'll be purchasing a variety of educational books to help with all ages.
Everyone that needs a book or two, will be able to go and help themselves, without having to worry about the expense.
Below is a message from Jo.
We took over the Royston Foodbank about 10 months ago, just before the last lockdown.
It has been a privilege to serve the community in this way and we are so grateful for all the support we have been given by the community.
We are currently open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am and 11am at the Royston Evangelical Church, for anyone who would like to donate food or needs food.
Together, as a community, we can do this!
Any donations will be absolutely amazing and I really can't wait to see how well we do.
Thank you all so much in advance.
Updates will be posted on here and on my Facebook page.
