Story

Salix Homes is entering two teams in the Racecourse Relay on Sunday, September 1.

The event has been organised by Prestwich Athletics Club and will raise money to support Riding for the Disabled Association and Salford Lads and Girls Club.

The Riding for the Disabled Association is a charity that provides horse-riding and carriage driving lessons to people with both developmental and physical disabilities.

Salford Lads and Girls Club is a local charity that has been providing opportunities for Salford’s young people in the arts and sports since 1903.

Teams of four runners will each complete a 10.4 furlongs (1.3 mile) loop of the former Manchester Racecourse track before handing their baton to the next runner.

Salix Homes will be entering two teams into the race:

Team One
Maria Lester, Dayle Flannigan, Matthew Moore & Steve Finbow

Team Two
Stewart Kerr, Craig Graham, Steven Cass & Janine Hart
