Story
Sandleheath Sea Scouts are a 70 strong very active group. With the help of A strong network of volunteers and parents they are able to meet every week at Spinnaker Sailing club near Ringwood.
While away on their summer camp they have had at least two open canoes and three Stand Up Paddle boards stolen from their storage sheds at the lake. They are kept at the lake to maximise the time that everyone gets on the water rather than spend time bringing them in each week by trailer.
It is not fully known yet if this is all that has been taken until they return from camp and are able to check everything.
it is estimated that the repairs to the shed and the replacement of the equipment is likely to cost £5000.
They like all scout groups have limited resources and need to make those that they have go a long way and to ensure that scouting is accesible to all.
i have been helping to make the repairs and to move some valuable equipment to safer locations.
The Scout group have made apeals on social media, in the hope of a possible witness or CCTV or perhaps someone spots the canoes being offered for sale. As a result of these appeals a number o people have approached me to ask if there is a way in which they might be able to help with a contribution towards their replacement.
I have therfore setup this page to facilitate this. Hopefully their appeals are succesful and there is always the possibility that they might be recovered.
