SAPHIRA AGAINST DENGUE - Our amazing helpers in Dubai, Mia and Mike tragically lost their oldest daughter Saphira last week, she was just 5 years old. She contracted Dengue Fever and died before Mike and Mia could get back to the Philippines to see her. Mike and Mia have made huge sacrifices for their families working hard in a foreign country to provide a better start in life for their young family. They are two of the kindest people i know. Mosquitos carry Dengue, just one bite and her little life was taken away. Currently vaccines are not freely available and it has killed more than 20000 children in the Philippines this year already. It must be terrifying to think that if your child is bitten there is nothing you could do to save them. We want to try and help Mike and Mia protect the rest of their family from this disease by buying mosquito nets for all the children at Saphira's school and community and providing funds for them to buy the vaccine as it becomes available.
