On Sunday 15th October 2017 I will be running the Leicester Marathon in memory of my lovely mum, Elaine.

Its nearly seven years since she left us and not a day goes by that I don't think about her. Despite enduring over 100 doses of Chemotherapy she always had a very positive outlook on life and she never once complained.

I intend to remember her positive attitude as I run the 26.2 miles although there has already been lots of complaining during my training runs!

Any money I raise will be given to Melbourne Community Care which provides support to the elderly, lonely and housebound. My mum volunteered for and was very supportive of this valuable service to her local community.
