My 5 month old daughter became seriously ill at the age of 7 weeks. The news was a horrific shock and to say we were terrified is an understatement.
We were in Birmingham, away from our other children and our family.

Ronald McDonald house is a charity that provides support to families in those circumstances. Whilst Birmingham children's hospital looked after our baby, the amazing staff at Ronald McDonald house looked after us.

Without any charge they provided us with accommodation, emotional and practical support.

That space and support was invaluable and they offer that to up to 33 families at a time, that's just in Birmingham.

When your child is ill, the last thing you need is to worry about where you will stay. Ronald McDonald house made sure that we didn't have to worry about that.
