On October 1st 2017 I am taking part in the 10K Stand Alone run. Now most of you will know, I am not a gym bunny and most certainly not a runner, however this is more of a personal goal to raise funds for a charity very close to my heart.

The registered charity “Friends of Roecroft Lower School” (known as FORLS) is an association of parents, grandparents, carers and teachers (a PTA) working together to raise funds for Roecroft Lower School.

Any funds I can raise from this run will specifically be used towards buying new toys & equipment for the phoenix room, a specially designed sensory room within Roecroft, to assist children with additional needs, during their school day.

For me, the phoenix room has been a huge help to my little boy Harrison who as you may know suffers with anxiety and is under observation for ASD.

Having a sensory room for him to escape too during the day when things get to much is a blessing, and I would love to be able to make a difference to all the children that need the facilities within this room.
