Story
As most of you will know my Dad fell ill whilst on holiday with my Mum in Majorca in early July this year, with a very nasty condition. He signed himself out of the hospital which enabled him to fly home. Once he was back in the UK he seen our GP before being sent to University Hospital Aintree Immediately to continue his treatment.
He spent 5 weeks on two normal wards before being moved into The Critical Care unit/Intensive Care unit as his condition deteriorated due to servere complications.
The Treament he received in the CCU/ICU at University Hospital Aintree was faultless and excellent in everyway. The enthusiasm, dedication, and unconditional care he received was truly amazing. A special shout out to Charlotte Bull (RN) Who was a truly amazing Individual in looking after my Dad.
Sadly despite this he further deteriorated and was placed on to a ventilator on Thursday 31st of August before passing away on the 1st September.
During his time in CCU/ICU whilst chatting to the staff we learned that the cost per day in this department tops £2,000 per day per paitent to run.
Rather than buy flowers for his funeral we would ask if people wish to make a donation to give something back to this totally outstanding area of Aintree Hospital.
Thank you to everyone for all your messages and comments of love and support.
RIP Stuart Cameron Forever Young
