Story
Dan Church and Andy Greening will be taking on their very own #SevenHeaven Challenge, running more than 225 miles (362 kilometres) over seven consecutive days to raise money for Leah's Wish, a private charity from Abingdon set-up in memory of 17-year-old Cystic Fibrosis sufferer, Leah Dionne Graham, who sadly passed away in October 2013.
To celebrate her life and to continue her legacy, between October 16th-21st, Dan will be running the length of the River Thames, from Gravesend in East London to the river's source in Kemble (Gloucestershire), averaging over 32 miles on foot each day. He will run almost 9 marathons in 7 days. During these first six successive days, Andy will act as Dan's cycle support.
Then, on Sunday October 22, 2017, both Dan and Andy will be running the 2017 Abingdon Marathon to complete the seven-day #SevenHeaven Challenge in Leah's hometown. This will be Andy's FIRST-EVER marathon!
Distance Schedule: (Approximately)
Day One (Oct 16) - 40 miles
Day Two (Oct 17) - 39 miles
Day Three (Oct 18) - 35.5 miles
Day Four (Oct 19) - 30 miles
Day Five (Oct 20) - 30 miles
Day Six (Oct 21) - 23.2 miles
Day Seven (Oct 22) - 26.2 miles
ALL PROCEEDS will go toward's Leah's Wish, a private charity run by Leah's incredible family to fund support for fellow Cystic Fibrosis sufferers.
Born on September 28, 1996; Leah was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at just four months old. Her remarkable family were told she could pass away within 24 hours, on several occasions. But being the 'Pink Princess' she was, she battled all the way until the very end. She lived 17 incredible years and never stopped smiling. She was a true inspiration. On October 31, 2013, sadly Leah passed away, aged 17. However, her legacy lives on and we would love to raise as much money as possible for her charity.
This JustGiving page will officially close on November 1, 2017 - one day after Leah's fourth anniversary.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR INCREDIBLE SUPPORT!!
